COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES

TLC Child and Family Services offers three community-based programs that interface with children, adolescents and young adults who are or who have been in the California foster care system. All of these programs are offered to clients residing in Sonoma County.

Transitional Housing Programs empower adolescents and young adults by providing guidance in housing, career development training and assistance with learning the skills needed for living successful and productive lives. Grants from the TLC Children's Enrichment Fund can assist with vocational and college tuition, books, fees and supplies.

Outpatient Mental Health Services delivers counseling services to foster children and their families who need support dealing with many difficult and critical issues. Services are provided in an atmosphere of respect through one-on-one counseling and support groups.

Fostering Connections is a unique community program offered by TLC that started in January 2008. Through this program, any foster child or youth who is or has been in foster care has access to mental health and behavioral services by trained clinicians at no cost to themselves or their families.
