THPP/Plus is Seeking a Housing Specialist. The primary role of this person is to develop housing options for clients in both the Transitional Housing Placement program (THPP) and the Transitional Housing Placement Plus program (THP-Plus), which are both programs designed to support youth aging out of foster care to establish safe and secure housing.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Leasing housing, maintaining housing records and managing TLC’s relationship with Property Managers and Host Home Providers. Additionally, applicants must have knowledge of federal, state, and local fair housing laws. Experience with property management and with counseling adolescent youth is also required.

Qualified applicants possess good communication and organizational skills, proficiency in computer use, and the ability to work in a team decision-making process as well as function independently. Applicants must be able to make thoughtful decisions in the face of crisis situations, understand the unique needs of the population being served, and have a working and safely maintained vehicle.
