Who Does This Benefit?

TLC’s vision is to ensure that every foster child in Sonoma County has a home with caring adults. Last year, TLC touched the lives of more than 550 vulnerable foster children and youth through our comprehensive services. Untangling their lives is a complex process, but TOGETHER we can restore hope, trust, and give each child the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Where do the proceeds go? Proceeds from this important fundraiser will support three of TLC’s unique programs this year:

The Culinary Arts Program including the construction of a new culinary kitchen will help adolescents and young adults in our Journey High School, Transitional Housing Programs, and Residentially-Based Services. With this program, students will have an opportunity to learn culinary skills for vocational planning and independent living. We hope to raise $75,000 for this project.

”Fostering Connections” provides long- term therapy to Sonoma County foster children. Dedicated counselors and therapists volunteer to see one foster child or youth in their private practice, for as long, as is necessary, without charge. We hope to raise $25,000 for this project.

Children’s Enrichment Fund was set up to provide additional services and life experience to children and families in need. The fund pays for a child’s enrollment in summer camps, sports activities, individual and family counseling, college tuition, housing, and employment training.
