With TLC since 2013

Credentials:
Education Specialist Instruction Credential
Administrative Services Credential

Jennifer comes to TLC and Journey High with over twenty years of experience as a special educator and academic leader in both the public and private sector. She received her B.A. in Special Education from Piedmont College and is currently completing her M.S. in Educational Administration from National University with a focus on trauma-informed school based interventions.
Her passion for creating student-centered learning environments led to her role as the Director of Journey High School. The core of her work as an educator is grounded in advocating for youth and empowering students to discover their capacity to meet their educational goals. This philosophy drew her to the program at Journey High and she is excited to be a part of this community.
Since 2013, Jennifer has helped shape an environment that isn’t just about academic learning. She supports Journey staff in teaching students how to navigate their lives differently in spite of what their experiences have been prior to entering the school. Journey High School is a place where students are seen, heard and understood.
When not at school, Jennifer spends time with her family and friends and enjoys experiencing live music.
