Residential Treatment

TLC Child and Family Services residential treatment program has provided safety, and therapeutic support to adolescents for over 40 years. Located in beautiful Sebastopol, in the heart of rural Sonoma County, TLC serves adolescents with a wide range of emotional needs. We have three homes for both boys and girls, which maintain superior standards and are accredited through the prestigious, Joint Commission and California Alliance for Children and Family Services. Our treatment facilities include Phoenix, home for ten high school age youth; Coast, home for ten high school age girls; and Orchard, which serves ten high school aged girls. Our homes maintain superior standards and are accredited through the prestigious California Alliance for Children and Family Services.

Our Treatment Philosophy focuses on connections to self, others and community. Residents receive a variety of therapeutic services that include individual, and/or family therapy, and outdoor adventure therapy programs. Additionally we offer group therapy to meet a variety of needs. Some examples are equine therapy, mindfulness, identity spectrum, family relationships, DBT and self-expression. Because many of our residents are not able to succeed in the mainstream high school, students have the option of attending TLC’s Journey High School that provides additional therapeutic and academic support. Additionally, youth have the option of attending local high schools and participating in extracurriculars.
